Supply Chain Planner – Europe Nyrstar Corporate Office

JOB SUMMARY

As Supply Chain Planner you will lead the raw material planning process for Nyrstar's European supply chain together with the team of Supply Chain Planners. The role is responsible for identifying and realizing opportunities to improve the EBITDA of the group (Trafigura + Nyrstar), ensuring raw material planning aligns with operational, commercial, and financial KPIs. The position requires expertise in supply chain optimization, including the use of Nyrstar’s bespoke Delmia Quintiq software, to maintain raw material consumption plans and production forecasts for European operations. As Supply Chain Planner you will also serve as a critical liaison between Nyrstar operations, Trafigura stakeholders and C-level leadership to optimize planning across all locations.

Essential functions at a glance:

  • Safety & Compliance: Ensure raw materials have valid safety data sheets, meet responsible sourcing standards, and reflect safety constraints in planning.
  • Planning & Optimization: Oversee and improve raw material supply planning (~$4bn annually), identify risks/opportunities, optimize value, and maintain forecasts using Delmia Quintiq software.
  • Collaboration: Coordinate with production planners, logistics, trading teams, and related functions to align forecasts, update assays, and support decision-making.

QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE & REQUIRED SKILLS

We are seeking a professional with:

  • A bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Operations Management, Business Administration, or similar, master’s degree in a related field is a plus.
  • Certifications in APICS CPIM, Lean, Six Sigma, or equivalent.
  • 5+ years of experience in manufacturing, operations management, or supply chain planning, with expertise in supply chain optimization tools (e.g., Delmia Quintiq).
  • Strong financial acumen (EBITDA impact), advanced Excel proficiency (data modeling/analysis) and PowerPoint experience.
  • Effective communication (oral/written), fluent in English; additional languages (Dutch, French, German, or Spanish) are a plus.
