As an IT Intune Engineer, reporting to the Group Manager IT Infrastructure, you will lead the day-to-day operations of global 24/7 configuration management and drive the migration from SCCM to Intune. You will design a cloud-based management framework to enable global production sites to manage devices, policies, and updates independently, while meeting the growing demand for advanced mobile device management (MDM).
A key part of your role will involve developing strategies, ensuring successful execution, and mentoring local IT teams to maintain smooth operations and peak performance across all international locations.
Essential Functions at a Glance:
- Lead the transition from SCCM to Intune with minimal operational disruption.
- Design, implement, and maintain application packaging and deployment strategies.
- Develop and enforce robust MDM policies to support increased mobile device usage.
- Establish processes for local teams to manage devices, updates, and security policies.
- Provide expert-level support and guidance for Intune and MDM-related needs globally.
- Collaborate with IT teams to align architecture with current and future business goals.
- Train local IT staff to handle routine management tasks effectively.
- Document Intune architecture, configurations, and best practices.
- Monitor, optimize, and secure the mobile and endpoint environment.
QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE & REQUIRED SKILLS
We are seeking a professional with:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, IT, or a related field (required).
- Microsoft certifications (required).
- 3–5+ years of experience in a similar role, with proven success in SCCM to Intune migrations within large-scale global organizations.
- In-depth knowledge of Intune capabilities, including application/device management and security compliance settings.
- Experience with Azure Active Directory and cloud identity services, including conditional access policies.
- Proficiency in PowerShell or other scripting languages for automation.
- Familiarity with Windows Autopilot and zero-touch deployment for Windows 10/11 and mobile devices.
- Strong project management skills to lead cross-functional teams through migrations.
- Ability to create training materials and deliver effective training sessions for IT staff.
- Problem-solving expertise with experience providing tier-2/3 support for MDM issues.
- Strategic thinker focused on continuous improvement and staying updated on industry advancements.
- Fluent in English (additional language skills are a plus).
- Candidate must already reside in the Netherlands.
