JOB SUMMARY

As Finance Officer you will be responsible for processing invoices, managing payment proposals, and processing bank statements. The role includes trade finance accounting, general ledger bookings, account reconciliations, and month-end closing support. Additional duties involve assisting with VAT and Intrastat filings and liaising with auditors. This position requires accuracy, attention to detail, and the ability to support various finance functions within and outside the financial accounting team.

Essential Functions at a Glance:

  • Process invoices: raw material purchases, transport, intercompany, and services.
  • Daily check of the payment proposals.
  • Liaise with vendors and respond to inquiries about invoices and payments.
  • Trade Finance accounting (Letters of credit, documentary collections, etc.).
  • Debt collection.
  • Back up other members of the AP Team.
  • Book G/L account entries and perform monthly account reconciliations.
  • Assist the accounting department with month-end closing.
  • Produce monthly KPI reports.
  • Monthly audit the pricing confirmation process for Purchases/Sales of Metals & Raw Materials.
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders.

QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE & REQUIRED SKILLS

We are seeking a financial professional with: 

  • Minimum 2 years of experience within an accounts payable role.
  • SAP AP processing experience.
  • Proficiency with MS Excel.
  • Ability to work in an international and fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent timemanagement skills.
  • Attention to detail, accuracy.
  • Dutch and English proficiency.
  • Applicant must have current residency in the Netherlands.
