JOB SUMMARY
Join our team as an ESG Data Analyst where you will help drive Nyrstar’s sustainability strategy by delivering high-quality, audit-ready ESG insights that power smarter, compliant reporting.
In this role, you will:
- Support Nyrstar’s ESG strategy and sustainability reporting, ensuring compliance with ESRS and CSRD requirements.
- Consolidate, validate, and benchmark ESG data to deliver high-quality, audit-ready datasets for consolidated reporting.
- Develop and enhance data governance and tooling to improve accuracy, efficiency, and transparency in ESG reporting.
- Collaborate across departments to align ESG metrics with operational plans, budgets, and long-term sustainability goals.
- Drive continuous improvement in data collection systems to meet evolving reporting expectations year after year.
QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE & REQUIRED SKILLS

- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Data Analytics, Energy Management, Finance, or a related field.
- 3–5 years’ experience in ESG data management, sustainability reporting, or data analysis, ideally in mining, metals, or manufacturing industries.
- Strong knowledge of ESG and sustainability frameworks such as ESRS, GRI, CSRD, CDP, TCFD, and GHG Protocol.
- Proven ability to prepare and validate data for external audits or assurance processes.
- Hands-on experience with ESG data tools and platforms (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Sphera, Intelex, SAI360).
- Skilled in designing and managing automated data workflows to streamline ESG reporting.
- Familiarity with European sustainability regulations and reporting standards.
- Excellent communication skills in English; Dutch, French, or German are an advantage.
- Certifications in sustainability reporting (e.g., GRI Standards, SASB, GHG Protocol, EU Taxonomy) preferred.
