A reflection from our AI Intern“When my journey at Nyrstar began, I was asking myself if it was worth moving to another city to start working as an AI guy in a metals company. Today, I can say that it really was. During the past seven months I have had the opportunity to work in such an amazing and healthy environment. I was part of the Digital Innovation & AI team, an incredible group full of beautiful minds. I developed my thesis - an AI Agent that assists the Electrolysis process in production and I can’t explain how proud I am of this work or how much my vision has changed over the last few months. We are literally able to talk to a whole production system through natural language. It’s hard to fully explain the potential of LLMs and how they can really affect industrial systems in the next few years.”
